Matt's Aunt Jenny

This is the link to their story and what happend when they sorted through emotional "clutter". It was strange seeing people we know and are related to on Oprah. They have a sad story but it was good closure for the entire family. I never got a chance to meet Jake but I have met Jenny, Steve and Linc and they are incredible people. I hope you got a chance to see this episode, at least check out the link.

Jewelry and an early wedding gift

Sunday, April 22, 2007

Well I got some antique jewelry a while back to wear when I am home in MI for the reception or maybe at the wedding but it is fun and shiny. And you all know how I like shiny. The hair clips are my some thing blue. I gave Shannon purple ones like it. Also Matt got me a Barbie. He doesn't know it but it is wearing my dress. I think it is wonderful! My tiara is sitting at the base of the doll with one of 4 necklaces I made myself.

Nice photo of you two. It looks like a tropical backdrop. good job. Dan took me to Er on 4/19. I had gotten back home after seeing my mom and about 915pm I suddenly had s sharp intense pain on my rt. flank. I took a couple of motrin and felt nauseated, cold sweats, then hot. I woke UD up to take me into ER. I could hardly breathe the pain was so intense. They gave me a cocktail mix of medicine which took away the pain and the shaking and a CAT scan confirmed that I had stones in my rt.kidney pelvis. They couldn'y see any moving at the time, but pain comes only when they move. We were back home by 2am and I slept ans snored all night. Dan got very little sleep. I have a script so that if the pain does return I can use the pills instead of ER. Nothing dull about our life in the quiet village. Ap

Shopping with and for the boys.

Shopping with men is a real challenge. They really didn't want to do it but I think all in all they had a good time. We ended up buying more then what I thought we would but that's the way it goes. We did buy ties but they won't wear them to the wedding. The suits were buy one get one free. The shirts were buy two get on free. The ties were buy two get one free. We also bought socks and shoes for both men. Dad got a dark charcoal grey suit because there weren't any black or navy suits with two buttons that looked the best on him. Marty got a black suit. Then they bought those cute little decorator hankie things that you stick in the pocket but never use. A nice touch I must say. That was Marty's idea. Marty got into picking shirts and stuff out once he tried his suit on. I included a picture of all that we bought except the suits. They are being altered and we'll pick them up next week when we get Shannon. We ended up spending $250.00 on each boy. I didn't think that was too terrible and even dad said most places you only get a suit and not all the other stuff for that much.
