I bought Matt the stars!

Monday, October 08, 2007

So this is the chart and certificate that Matt received after a named a star for him. We are thinking about doing another for me. Possibly when we have kids getting one for them too... But that's a long time off yet.
Here are the wedding canvasses we received on the same day and the shadow box of my bouquet. I think everything turned out well.

It's Been A While

Wednesday, September 26, 2007

Okay so I haven't been very good at keeping up with this since the wedding so here is the run down of everything I have taken on this year.

I am the grade chair for special areas which basically means I am the first to know what is going on with us and the school (most of the time). I receive a stipend for this.

I am the lead union representative for my campus of 3 reps, I shoulder the responsibility of making sure the Memorandum of Understanding (our guidelines) are followed. I also have to hold monthly meetings to communicate what the head of the union needs communicated.

I belong to the Faculty Advisory Committee (FAC) , Morgan is the Chair, I help her by taking minutes and help to resolve issues and complaints with 8 other people. (the 2 means I hear a lot of complaining).

I am still running my after school art classes starting in October. I will have 2 a month except for December and January. They are going to pay me this year $22 an hour.

I am still doing Artsonia. I currently have 200 works of art up and I started yesterday. www.artsonia.com/schools/mirage1 They gave me an award this year for leadership. Artsonia only gives out 10 per state.

Tomorrow I am going to a breakfast so that I may receive the honors of the Del Sol Rotary Club Teacher of the Month for September.

This is all very wonderful and extremely stressful all at the same time. I just wanted to share. Talk to you all soon!
Love, Erin

It's All Happenin' At The Zoo

Saturday, July 28, 2007

Shannon gave us a back stage tour of the Education animals of the zoo. Really cool!

And a fun time was had by all.

What a great month July has been. After all the planning I'm sorry to see it go. I'll miss Erin and Matt and of course Rosco. So now, on with the summer.

Bulid-a-Bear with Logan

Sunday, July 01, 2007

We took Logan to Build-a-Bear workshop to make him a ringbearer bear. It was so fun! It is an early birthday/ wedding party gift. His 1st birthday and our wedding day is one in the same.

We helped him pick out a bear to stuff and this is the guy stuffing the bear for him.

You can give the bears a "bath" afterwards. Air comes out of the showers and Logan was just facinated by the whole thing.

While Rachel and I make the bear a birth certificate Matt and Logan play with another computer.

Elvis Logan Ringbear and Logan in the stroller with his cute suit (that looks like Logan's) and ring pillow.

I think he had fun!

Go Matt! Congratulations!!!!

Again... if you didn't get the email... I'm proud of Matt

Thursday, June 21, 2007

As you all probably have gotten the little card I made, Matt graduates today (June 22nd). What a quick 2 years it has been. Even Matt is in disbelief that it is done... for the most part. He has gotten through the basic automotive training, the Ford FACT (Ford Accelerated Credential Training) program, was top of his class 4 times earning SOC (student of the course) pins, and has obtained four ASE (Automotive Society of Engineers) certificates. Now he receives and Associates in Automotive Engineering and knowledge of the automotive industry from the best auto tech school in the nation.
He will work full time for the next week then he will take a much deserved month off. (He has been working part time and going to school year-round since August of 2005, gone 13 hours a day) He will start up the Volvo Safe program in August 2007, upon completion he is guaranteed a job, somewhere in the United States, although we have no idea where that will be yet.
He has worked hard, just as hard as any college student, if not harder. He maintained a 4.0 grad point average the whole time. I am bursting with pride to you all about his accomplishments. I hope that you are as proud of him as I am.

Update from Up North

Wednesday, May 09, 2007

Hi to all. the bear is pretty adorable. Not as cute as the guy in the T shirt video. Wow what a flashy car!! What kind is it? Now we will not be able to keep track of where she is or where she is going! As of her sister I think this wedding stuff has finally gotten to her. She's over the edge with what to do and what to wear, but she seems to be enjoying the moments leading up to the big event. Hopefully we will all live thru the actual day. Say.. who was that attractive girl standing next to Martin in the photo?? Martin you look sharp in your new suit. Did you have fun at the dance? Did you dance? We've been busy cutting the grasses around the gallery, putting on our first exhibition, Keeping up with meetings and Dan's new project that is stalled by the building permit process right now, and getting outfit ready for the BIG DAY in July and the other rather warm days before and after. I've found plates and napkins for the Ladies Luncheon and I'm working on the invitations now. I will send Diane a sample soon. Think about food to eat that day. AP

DON'T TOUCH THE BEAR!!

Which Necklace?

Saturday, May 05, 2007

the anitique necklace I bought... I really love this necklace but it might be too much
The back of the necklace I made I need to make shorter. Oh and this is some of my pudge that Sukie insisted on pinching...
This is the front of last necklace.
close up of the tiara.
The other necklace I made the H fell off the center.
So what do you guys think? I can't decide.
